Jaden McMahon is an Illustrator and Branding & Packaging designer based in New York. She works with both traditional and digital mediums. Illustration is the foundation of her artistry and she incorporates it in every form. Her style stems from the organic nature of her hand skills. She combines hand drawn imagery with digital graphics to create a playful and whimsical style that reflects her roots. Her artistry ranges from portraiture, still lives, botanical illustrations, and packaging design.
She turns to the pigmentation and natural forms of flowers and leafy plants, the ornate textures of lace and tulle fabrics, and shapes and sharp angles of architecture for her muse. She always takes note of the lines flower petals create as they fold inward, the nuances of light and shadow on worn aluminum, or the use of a warm color palette.
Currently, Jaden is studying Packaging Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. In May of 2018, she received her Associates Degree in Communication Design. She focuses on creating unique brand stories, such as sprout; a brand that provides customizable gardening kits. It allows people of New York to take advantage of their unused space and create their own version of a garden. Sprout’s branding features hand drawn botanical illustrations to emphasize the idea of making and growing something with your own two hands.
